Fish kisses

There are certain experiences some just love. Like feeding the ducks at a park using your bare hands or just listening to the sound of falling water or stroking the back of one’s pet. They have a kind of therapeutic effect and thus it’s no wonder that capturing these into spaces and products has gained popularity.
A couple of years ago I’d been for a picnic with friends at a spring. The fish there were great fun, nibbling at our feet. We all enjoyed their company and each wished that we had them to our selves!

And I hear, that that’s precisely an experience that particular spas are offering to clients! That’s right, fish pedicures are creating something of a splash.

The fish used are called garra rufa and typically known as doctor fish. They were first used in Turkey, (to feed on the skin of patients with psoriasis) and have become popular in some Asian countries and the US. Well, it’s all not left to the fish. Customers get a standard pedicure, made easier by the soft skin that the doctor fish leave behind after the 15 -20 minutes of ‘fish kisses’. That’s what I like to call it.

Those who’ve experienced something similar in nature will surely agree that will be a pretty good spa experience and something that one could easily get ‘hooked’ to.

The Re-quest

Its not everyday that people ask something of us that we can give. A couple of weeks ago P asked that I start movingfingers2 as her birthday gift... Sometimes it amazes me how people can ask for birthday gifts :P. Anyway P, here it is.

Was supposed to start it yesterday but due to internet connection problems, the blog is up today with this first post.

Here's to P because this is THE YEAR. And here is to a request ( i hope to fulfill till the 19th of June 2010!)

PS: the title made me think if research is a re- search then why isnt request a re-quest.. maybe in someways, in this case, it just might be!)
